Top 5 Best Electric Dirt Bikes (Emotos) of 2026: Ranked by Speed & Range

Top 5 Best Electric Dirt Bikes (Emotos) of 2026: Ranked by Speed & Range

The "60V era" is over. In our definitive 2026 ranking, we name the new kings of the electric dirt bike world based on real-world speed, range, and voltage. Find out why the Altis Sigma (98V) and E Ride Pro SS (72V) have dethroned the Surron Light Bee X. Plus, read our brutally honest take on why we don't carry popular models like the 79Bike or Vetra Blazer.

The 2026 Emoto Hierarchy (Quick Answer)

Direct Answer: In 2026, the "60V Standard" set by Surron is officially dead. The best electric dirt bikes now run on 72V or 98V systems for superior torque and range.

  • Best Overall (Performance King): Altis Sigma (98V, 22kW Peak)

  • Best Value & Track Ready: E Ride Pro SS 3.0 (72V, 16kW Peak)

  • Best Tech/App Integration: Rawrr Mantis X Pro (72V, 15kW Peak)

  • Best for Modders: Surron Light Bee X (60V, 6kW Peak)

  • Best Full-Size Motocross: Stark Varg (80hp, 880lb-ft Torque)

The "Voro Score" Data Table

We ranked these bikes based on Stock Performance (out of the box). No aftermarket controllers, no battery swaps. Just raw numbers from our Los Angeles testing facility.

Rank Bike Model System Voltage Peak Power Top Speed (Tested) Battery Capacity Best For
#1 Altis Sigma 98V 22kW 70+ mph 3,600 Wh Speed Freaks
#2 E Ride Pro SS 3.0 72V 16kW 60 mph 3,600 Wh Track & Trail
#3 Rawrr Mantis X Pro 72V 15kW 65 mph 2,590 Wh Tech Geeks
#4 Surron Light Bee 60V 6kW 46 mph 2,400 Wh Custom Builds
#5 Stark Varg 360V 60kW 80+ mph 6,500 Wh Pro Motocross

Expert Insight: Notice the voltage gap. The #1 and #2 bikes run nearly double the wattage of the #4 Surron. In the emoto world, Voltage = Efficiency. A 98V system runs cooler at 40mph than a 60V system does, meaning you get more range even if you ride hard.

#1. Altis Sigma (The New King)

Status: In Stock at VoroMotors

The Altis Sigma has shattered the ceiling of what a lightweight emoto can do. It is the first production bike in this class to ship with a 98V battery stock.

  • Why it wins: With a 22kW hairpin motor, it delivers torque figures (626Nm) that rival 250cc gas bikes. The "Limited Edition" units shipping in 2026 feature dual-spring front suspension and a reinforced chassis to handle 70mph speeds.

  • The Downside: It is physically larger than a Surron. If you are under 5'6", you might find the 34-inch seat height intimidating.

#2. E Ride Pro SS 3.0 (The People's Champion)

Status: In Stock at VoroMotors

If the Altis is a hypercar, the E Ride Pro SS 3.0 is the Porsche 911 GT3—perfectly balanced. It standardized the 72V system for the masses.

  • Why it wins: It features a "Turbo Button" that instantly unlocks 16kW of power for overtaking. Unlike the Surron, it comes with 19"/18" wheels stock, meaning you have access to real motocross tire options without buying new rims.

  • Voro Verdict: This is the bike we recommend to 80% of riders. It’s fast enough to scare you, but agile enough to throw around on a single track.

#3. Rawrr Mantis X Pro (The Tech Heavyweight)

Status: In Stock at VoroMotors

The Mantis X Pro takes a different approach. It uses an App-Based Tuning system that allows you to map throttle curves on your phone—a feature usually reserved for $12,000 bikes like the Stark Varg.

  • Why it wins: Safety and Tech. It has a dedicated "Kill Switch" and "Parking Mode" sensor on the kickstand, making it safer for new riders. It also pushes a massive 15kW peak, launching 0-30mph in 2.6 seconds.

#4. Surron Light Bee X (The Legend)

Status: The Benchmark

We respect the legend. The Surron LBX started this revolution. However, in 2026, it shows its age.

  • Why it's here: It is the "Honda Civic" of emotos. There are more aftermarket parts for this bike than any other.

  • The Reality Check: To make a Surron keep up with an Altis Sigma or E Ride Pro SS, you need to spend roughly $3,000 on a battery/controller upgrade. Buy this only if you plan to replace every part anyway.

#5. Stark Varg (The Dream)

Status: Full Size Class

We don't sell it (yet), but we can't ignore it. The Stark Varg is not a "lightweight emoto"—it is a full-sized electric motocross bike that competes with 450cc gas bikes.

  • Why it's here: It sets the upper limit of electric performance. With 80hp, it is in a different league (and price bracket ~$13,000) than the others on this list.

The "Why Not?" List: Popular Bikes We Don't Carry (Yet)

At VoroMotors, we test almost every bike that hits the market. You will often see the bikes below mentioned in forums or YouTube reviews. We want to be 100% transparent about why you won't find them in our inventory right now.

Note on Pit Bikes: We have excluded smaller "pit bikes" (kids' bikes with small wheelbases) from this list. This guide is strictly for full-size, performance Emotos.

1. Arctic Leopard (The "One to Watch")

The Verdict: High potential, but we are waiting on support. Many riders (and factories!) have complimented the build quality and design of the Arctic Leopard line. We agree—the hardware is impressive.

  • Why we don't stock it (yet): We are currently in active discussions with the factory for the 2026 season. However, we refuse to sell a bike until we have a guaranteed Warranty & Parts Process in place. Until we can ensure our customers will be taken care of if something breaks, we are holding off. Watch this space.

2. 79Bike (Falcon GT Pro)

The Verdict: Great performance, but legally complicated. The Falcon GT Pro is often cited as a cheaper alternative to the Surron.

  • Why we don't stock it: While the specs are decent, the frame design is extremely similar to the Surron Light Bee. VoroMotors has decided to stay out of the 79Bike business due to potential legal complications regarding intellectual property. We prefer to stock brands that innovate their own chassis designs (like E Ride Pro and Rawrr).

3. Vetra Blazer

The Verdict: A marketing play, not a new product. You may have seen glowing reviews for the Vetra Blazer recently.

  • Why we don't stock it: To be blunt, this appears to be a straight private label rebrand of the Arctic Leopard XE Pro S. According to Arctic Leopard (the actual manufacturer), this is the exact same product with a different sticker.

  • Our Honest Take: We do not find any meaningful reason to carry a bike that exists solely as a marketing push/cash grab. It adds no unique value to the Emoto space that the original manufacturer doesn't already offer.

FAQs

Q: Is the Altis Sigma street legal? A: No. With a top speed over 70mph and no pedals, it is an OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle). You can ride it on private land or Green Sticker trails in California.

Q: Can I upgrade the E Ride Pro SS to 98V later? A: Technically yes, but it requires a new controller and battery. If you want 98V power, it is cheaper to buy the Altis Sigma upfront than to upgrade an E Ride Pro later.
