A good addition to the Cruiser

Bought and installed the thumb throttle today. Took me about 30 minutes, some may go faster, I go slow watching the video and rewinding not to miss anything. The cable is short and a tip I found was to collapse the right handle bar during installation otherwise you cannot remove the brake lever. I took the scooter on a 10 mile journey today, mostly flat paved trail. A huge improvement to the finger throttle which I thought covered the brake lever. The thumb throttle takes time getting used to, it is a little jerky jerky at the beginning until you get the touch. I have an average size hand and found that the thumb lever was not at the right position for my hand. In order for the thumb lever to be at the right spot for my thumb it would need to be moved more towards the center of the handle bars, but you cannot do this or else the right side handle bar will not collapse. So it seems to me that this thumb throttle was not an initial item with the scooter but an after thought. It needs to be re-designed for the ergonomics our your thumb placement. I thought of placing the volt meter on the other side of the handle bar to give move space to move more center. We shall see if I do this. A step up over the finger throttle for sure.

I love my cruiser! Also, I was drunk when I ordered it, so my name isn't actually Kylew. Best drunk buy ever. Can I give 6 stars out of 5?

Thumb throttle vs trigger throttle

The cooler display for the thumb throttle looks great. Nice improvement over the stock throttle. I also love the way I can have better control when applying the brake vs the trigger throttle. I also have better control when accelerating. Only complaint is the speedometer reads 3-5 mph slower than what the scooter is actually going. Great product.

nice upgrade

loving the thumb throttle considered the twist grip but i have huge hands so decided on thumb was still to close so switched volt meter and key slot over to other handelbar giving more room to slide throttle now perfect didnt mind the finger throttle at first but on long rides not comfertable kinda un natural position to hold and restricts access to the breaks i would definately recomend thumb throttle also screen is much better colour and can cycle modes with out pressing 2 buttons at once so u can do it when moving and p menu improved as on finger throttle tire size selection was only by fill points not allowing you to calibrate to get acurate speed and odometer reading the thumb throttle allows you to .5 greatly improving accuracy still not perfect but very close good enough i did tracking by gps with finger throttle and couldnt even get close to accurate and voro tells you to leave tire size set to 8 not sure why as it is a 10"tire when correctly inflated to the recomended 45 psi i have found that the best setting with new throttle acuracy wise is 9.5 but i am also no longer running 45 psi overworks suspension to acheave nothing substantial on range over all better ride and shouldnt be as harsh on scooter with almost no range differance also please remember to go through the p setting once you have changed throttles as they might stay set some did but for example i had it set to soft accelarate on old and new was set to fast accelerate when turned on major upgrade andx worth every dime
