I bought the thumb throttle hoping it was less sensitive than the finger throttle. Turns out it was more comfortable but still got the same jerking results when riding that the finger throttle gave. I was disappointed.
I noticed that on my other scooters with the other type of thumb throttle, the throttle has more strength in the spring. Making it a bit stiffer to move.
So I took the throttle apart and loosened the spring to make it stronger and then reinstalled it. It now works perfectly! Since the spring it looser it is now a bit stiffer to push the throttle. Doing this it took all the play out and it’s not so sensitive. It was more sensitive before I did the adjustment because it was so easy to push the throttle, there was no resistance so when you hit a slight bump it would move your body in turn moving your thumb causing the jerking. The throttle was so easy to push that is what caused the jerking issue.
Now that I figured it out I love the scooter even more!
