EMOVE Cruiser S 52V Dual Suspension - Long Range Electric Scooter

The EMOVE Cruiser S is the 2023 generation of VoroMotors' original long-range electric scooter: up to 62 miles* from a 52V 30Ah LG battery, dual suspension on 10-inch tubeless tires, and a fold that fits a car trunk. The Cruiser V2 succeeded it in July 2024, so every button here goes to the V2; the S's full specs, rider reviews and an S-versus-V2 comparison are below.

After the Cruiser V1

The Cruiser S made long range routine.

Before the Cruiser V2, the Cruiser S was the long-range EMOVE: the 2023 generation of the scooter VoroMotors has built since 2018, refined over years, and the one that turned 62 miles* into a plain commuting number rather than a headline. Rider Guide named it Best of 2023-2024 in the Long Range Scooter category, Electric Scooter Insider made it a 2023 ESI Award winner, and riders have reviewed it at a 4.8 average; those reviews are further down this page. It succeeded the original Cruiser V1; the Cruiser V2 succeeded it in July 2024.

Meet the EMOVE Cruiser V2.

The Cruiser V2 is the current generation of this scooter, released in July 2024. It keeps what riders came to the S for (up to 62 miles* on a charge, a fold that fits a trunk) and adds four-point suspension in place of two, a 3.5-inch colour LCD, a fold that locks with a safety button, latch and lock, a central charging port, a forged one-piece neck and swing arm where the S's neck is multi-piece, handlebars that rise to 56 inches, and a 60V dual-drive AWD option rated to 44 mph*. Five colourways, shipping from our US warehouse. If you are buying today, this is the one.

Range & battery

62 miles* on a charge. About two weeks of commuting.

A 52V 30Ah pack of LG 18650 cells, 1,560 watt-hours behind a battery management system, is the reason the Cruiser S earned its long-range name. The rated figure is 62 miles*; rider weight, speed mode and hills move it, and riders and YouTube reviewers have checked it on real commutes for years. A full charge takes 9 to 12 hours through the GX16-3 port, so it refills overnight, and VoltKey, the key-start voltmeter, reads 58.1 to 58.8 V by morning.

Power & performance

1,600W peak, sine-wave smooth. The hill home is just a hill.

A 1000W rear hub with 1,600W of peak output takes the Cruiser S up 20-degree grades, and SineRamp, the 25A sine wave controller, feeds that power in as a smooth, quiet ramp rather than a lurch, which is also kinder to the battery. Over the earlier Cruiser, that meant smoother acceleration, better battery efficiency and easier hill climbing. Top speed is 33 mph* in the highest of its three modes, and it ships in the 20 mph mode.

Ride & suspension

Two shocks between you and the asphalt. Potholes arrive already softened.

TwinDamp is the S's sprung fork up front and swing-arm shock at the rear, on 10 by 2.75-inch tubeless pneumatic tires, and it gives the Cruiser S its settled feel over the pavement a city serves up: potholes, cracks, expansion joints, curb transitions, broken and patched asphalt. The wide deck keeps your stance relaxed, and it is rated for adults up to 352 pounds. It is a street scooter, built for paved roads, bike lanes and paved paths.

Portability & fold

Folds to fit a trunk at 56 lbs. Train, hallway, under the desk.

Turn the S-knob, fold the stem, drop both handlebars: S-Fold takes the Cruiser S from 48 by 23.5 by 46.5 inches to a 49 by 10 by 16 inch package that fits a car trunk. At 56 lbs it is 18 lbs lighter than the Cruiser V2 that replaced it. The S also brought a more secure stem clamp and a black folding mechanism in place of the earlier silver one, and the handlebar height adjusts to the rider.

*Top speed and range are the 2023 product record's rated figures for the 52V Cruiser S. Rider weight, speed mode, hills, temperature and tire pressure all move them, and the scooter ships in its 20 mph mode with the higher modes selectable on the display. Ride within your local speed limits and traffic laws. Max load is the 2023 rating for this model; the Cruiser V2 page uses a heavier-rider baseline set in 2026, which is why it lists 330 lbs*. The Cruiser S is designed for paved surfaces: public roads, bike lanes and paved paths. Its dual suspension and tubeless tires are built to absorb potholes, cracks, expansion joints and curb transitions. Dirt, sand, gravel, trails, jumps and drops are outside what it is designed and tested for.

I LOVE IT, BUT...

When I received it and assembled it, I took it for a test drive and immediatly noticed the right turn signal does not work. Of course I checked and double check all the connections. All looked fine, yet the right turn signal still isn't working. Sucks! Also, one of the main reasons I purchased this particular make/model is that it has a higher weight limit (weight capacity as it relates to the driver), yet it hasn't exceeded 16 mph despite it's claim of 300 or something pounds weight capacity and 32 mph top speed. I bought this scooter for my wife, who is a bit on the heavier side. I knew when i was researching which one to purchase, that she has the need for speed! And rhough she loves the scooter a lot and drives it to work almost every day, she has expressed much disappointmemt because she hasn't been able to get it to go much more than 15mph...which is close to the top speed of her old scooter despite her exceeding its weight capacity. Those are the only issues with it. Any advise on how to fix the broken turn signal and how to get it to go faster would be so appreciated. It's a beautiful scooter that from our experience, falls a bit short of its claims

Thank you for your honest and detailed review. We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear your wife is enjoying the scooter for her daily commute! We’re sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced with the right turn signal and the top speed performance. That’s definitely not the experience we aim to provide, and we’d love to help get things sorted out.

One of my favorite electric scooters

Out of over 50 E scooters that I have personally owned throughout the past few years, (I buy and sell a lot) This one has made it to my top 5 best list. It is all around a great scooter to ride on the sidewalk, in bike lanes, through neighborhoods, and even on grass at the past.
I’ve upgraded my handlebars to a nice arced cruise style, with a handlebar to stem adapter that has a spring inside, so it feels very nice going over bumps. Makes my stance slightly wider and taller. Unfortunately I could only make the height 2” taller. The plug and play wires won’t let me go any higher without disconnecting, which is probably my least favorite part about the scooter.

Now I’ll go over the features from top to bottom like I always do, tell you what I like and don’t like.

I hate the stock grips. They slide up and down easily and leave a pattern on my hands. I changed them out for some nice black and white grips that match the colors of my scooter.
Even tho it’s a bit outdated for todays time, I think the light/horn/turn signal control module still works well, easy to use, can tell when things are being used. I have always been a fan of the key to start feature. I always lock my scooter up when it’s outside but it’s nice to know someone can’t just walk by, turn it on and start messing with the controls The disk breaks combined with the EBS work well. Obviously they’re not as good as hydraulic, but I’m so glad EBS is being used too, it puts less strain on the disks. The thumb throttle is very nice, very natural feeling, and very responsive. The display is very visible night or day, shows the basics. Very nice, can’t complain. I added a bell, a phone mount/light, and my DJI4 camera onto the bars as well. Also added a white bag and water bottle holder, and lock onto the stem.

Now making my way down, the telescoping stem is not bad, just wish the scooter could be a bit taller overall. They did fix that on the V2 though.
You definitely do get some stem flex after riding for some time, I’m not sure how to fix that, pretty sure all screws are tightened.
The folding latch is pretty easy to use, just push forward the scooter while pulling out the locking pin. It locks into place, no hooks needed. The tires are great! Tubeless is always good. They have slime in them too and feel very durable. Suspension is just okay to me. It’s an older spring style that’s decent for street riding but bad for off road. I’ve definitely had worse though, some give you no flex at all and feel nonexistent. This one feels just right for me.
I absolutely LOVE the long deck! Makes other decks feel cramped after trying this. So comfortable and makes it easy to carve. Speaking of carving, it is so easy to control your turns and speed!
Since it’s light and has narrow tires, you can really weave in and out of obstacles with ease. And I love the speed modes. 1 is 13mph, perfect for the moble home park I ride in. 2 is 20mph, perfect for casual sidewalk riding. And 3 is 30mph, perfect for some non busy street riding.
And I love the range as well of course. I look at the screen less often then other scooters because I don’t have really have to.

So overall my complaints are
-shorter handlebar height that can’t be adjusted much
-lots of exposed wires for someone to mess with
-stem flex
-Original handlebars were a bit shakey, and couldn’t mount much extras on

My overall my pros are
-Very affordable price for what you get
-Very nice color and aesthetic
-very good speak and range for my commute
-Great deck length with decent suspension
-Display is very easy to read with good controls
-Tires are amazing for any street riding

Even though this scooter is about 7 years old now, it still performs very well and meets a lot of my critiques. For sure recommend for any rider.

Little tank of a scooter

I've had the black one for a while and let me just stay it's an absolute unit. I've crashed on it, and honestly treated it pretty bad but it holds up. It's comfortable and I like the ability to add a seat if needed for those long rides. I wish it was a tiny bit faster, but I think that's just my inner speed demon talking.

Parts that outlast the model year

37 video tutorials, a 53-product spare-parts collection, a parts atlas and a screw catalog keep a Cruiser S on the road past its 1-year warranty.

Cruiser S questions, answered.

The S is the 2023 generation of the Cruiser and a sound scooter, not one to avoid: a 52V 30Ah LG battery (the V2 keeps that spec on newer cells), the 62-mile* range and the XTECH brakes that the current model carries on, with 647 reviews at a 4.8 average behind it. What it lacks is what the Cruiser V2 added in July 2024: four-point suspension, a fold that locks with a safety button, latch and lock, a colour LCD, a one-piece neck and swing arm, and an AWD option. If you are buying new, buy the V2; it is the model we build and ship today. If you already own an S, it stays supported with 53 spare parts, a parts atlas and 37 video tutorials.

Three generations. The original Cruiser, the V1, built the long-range reputation. The 2023 Cruiser S improved on it with a brighter white LCD, a lag-free thumb throttle, a black folding mechanism and knob, a quieter 1000W hub and a more secure stem clamp, with SineRamp, its 25A sine wave controller, for smoother acceleration and easier hill climbing. The Cruiser V2, released in July 2024, is a redesign: suspension at all four corners, a locking fold, a colour LCD, a one-piece neck and an AWD option. The compare table above lists the S and the V2 side by side.

Yes, and it is the reason the Cruiser earned its reputation: customers and YouTube reviewers have reported meeting the 62-mile* figure for years. Your own number moves with rider weight, speed mode, hills, temperature and tire pressure, so a heavier rider holding 33 mph* will see less than a lighter rider cruising in the first mode. One way to picture it: like using your phone for a week without charging. A full charge takes 9 to 12 hours through the GX16-3 port with the supplied charger, and VoltKey reads 58.1 to 58.8 volts when the pack is full and 41 to 43 volts when it is empty. Fast chargers from other brands may plug in, but we do not recommend them: they are not UL-tested with this battery. Use the original charger.

The Cruiser S reaches 33 mph* in the highest of its three speed modes and ships in a 20 mph mode out of the box. Modes are changed on the LCD; the speed-modes tutorial on the EMOVE Cruiser help page walks through it, and the same page's troubleshooting notes cover the P-settings, such as the kickstart toggle. Scooter rules differ by state and city: some set a top speed for bike lanes, some require lights and a helmet, some restrict sidewalks. The S carries a headlight, brake light, turn signals and a horn; whether that meets your area's lighting rules is worth checking alongside the speed limit. Check your local rules before you ride, stay within local speed limits, and wear a helmet.

Light rain and puddles are fine: SplashSeal is the sealed deck and waterproof cabling that earn the IPX6 rating, and the front mudguards keep spray down. It is water-resistant rather than waterproof, so heavy rain is outside the rating. Protect the LCD and thumb throttle from the worst of it. Riders do use the S through winter; cold lowers the range figure, so expect fewer miles per charge.

The Cruiser S is a street scooter. TwinDamp, its dual suspension, and the 10-inch tubeless tires are tuned for the pavement defects of a real commute: potholes, cracks, expansion joints, curb transitions, broken and patched asphalt. Keep it on paved roads, bike lanes and paved paths. Dirt, sand, gravel, trails, jumps and drops are outside what it is designed and tested for, and there is no knobby tire option for it.

The Cruiser S weighs 56 lbs, 18 lbs less than the 74 lb Cruiser V2, and it is rated for adults up to 352 lbs, the 2023 rating for this model. S-Fold brings it down to 49 by 10 by 16 inches for a car trunk; unfolded it is 48 by 23.5 by 46.5 inches with adjustable handlebar height. Yes, a seat fits: the EMOVE Cruiser seat is an accessory with its own install video, and the EMOVE storage case and tow handle mount on the rear.

Everything is on voromotors.com: the EMOVE Cruiser spare-parts collection holds 53 products including replacement 10 by 2.75-inch tubeless tires, the accessories collection has 49 more, and the EMOVE Cruiser Parts Atlas and screw catalog show which part is which. Maintenance is routine: check tire pressure before rides, keep the pack charged rather than storing it empty, and check the brakes and lights regularly. The help page's 37 video tutorials cover brake tuning through tire, throttle, controller and stem replacement, and plug-and-play cabling keeps those swaps simple.

This page does not sell the S, so it carries no price. The current model is the Cruiser V2, and its page shows today's pricing, with financing options presented at checkout. If you own an S and need parts, the spare-parts collection has current prices.
