About these numbers
RoadRunner Pro V2 figures are our own published specifications. LiveWire S4 Honcho figures are taken from the manufacturer public product page at the time of writing. Prices and specifications can change, so check both current listings before you buy. These are different classes of vehicle, and we have tried to compare them fairly rather than flatter ourselves.
The 60Ah pack is the one to get
Step up to the 60Ah battery and you are carrying 4,320 Wh, which is more energy on board than the Honcho, for $3,795, still well under the $4,999 Trail price. That pack is rated at 75 miles relaxed and 50 miles ridden hard. The 40Ah version at $3,595 is the value pick at 55 miles relaxed, and it still edges the 53 mile figure on the Honcho page.
The cells matter too. The Pro V2 uses Samsung 50G 21700 cells with copper infused nickel, which is the kind of detail that separates a pack that holds up over years from one that quietly fades.
Charging is where we lose
We will say it plainly. The Honcho recharges from 20 to 80 percent in about two hours. The Pro V2 takes 8 to 10 hours for a full charge on the standard 3.5A XLR charger. If you need multiple full turnarounds in a single day, that is a real disadvantage and you should weigh it. For the far more common pattern of riding during the day and charging overnight, it makes no practical difference at all.
The honest summary
More energy on board, more rated range, named premium cells, and a lower price. Slower to refill. If you charge overnight, the Pro V2 with the 60Ah pack is the stronger buy. If you need two full charges inside a working day, be honest with yourself about that before you order.
