Teverun releases firmware updates for its smart batteries, and running the latest version keeps your battery communicating correctly with the scooter. The update is done through the Teverun battery app over Bluetooth, and it only takes a few minutes. The most important part is letting the update run without interruption. This guide shows you how to install the app on iPhone or Android and run the update the right way, with a full video walkthrough.
Before you start, read this
A battery firmware update must run without interruption. Before you begin, make sure your phone will not black out, go to sleep, or receive a call or notification part way through. An interrupted update can leave the battery in a bad state. Set your phone up so nothing disturbs it, keep it still, and let the update finish completely.
Step 1: Install the Teverun battery app
iPhone (Apple)
Open the App Store and download the Teverun battery app. Once it is installed, you are ready to go to Step 2.
Android
Android uses an install file (APK). Tap below to download it. It comes as a zip, so unzip it first, then rename the app file inside so it ends in .apk only (remove the extra .1.1.1 from the end of the file name). Open the renamed file to install it, and if your phone asks, allow installing from this source.

The Android file is the official Teverun battery app supplied by VoroMotors. It is normal for Android to ask you to confirm the install because it is not coming from the Play Store. If you are ever unsure, message us and we will confirm you have the right file.
Step 2: Run the battery update

1Stop anything that could interrupt the phone. Turn on Do Not Disturb, set your screen timeout so the phone will not sleep, and make sure you will not get a call or message during the update.

2Rest the phone on the deck and keep it still. Place your phone on the scooter deck, close to the battery, and do not move it at all once the update starts.

3Open the app and connect. Open the Teverun battery app and let it find the Teverun Bluetooth device. Select your device from the list.

4Tap update and wait. Start the update and let it run all the way to completion without touching the phone or the scooter. When it finishes, the app will confirm the battery is up to date.
If it will not connect or the update stalls
Keep the scooter powered on and close to the phone, make sure Bluetooth is on, and try again from the start with the phone resting still on the deck. If it still will not complete, record a short video of what you are seeing and send it to us and we will help.
