E Ride Pro SS rear suspension linkage bolt sizes M8x55 M8x57 M8x62

E Ride Pro SS Rear Suspension Bolt Sizes: M8x55, M8x57, and M8x62 (SKU Reference Guide)

Why These Three Bolts Matter More Than You Think

The rear suspension linkage on the E Ride Pro SS is a pivot-heavy system. Every time you hit a bump, these linkage bolts are rotating under load, which means they work loose faster than most fasteners on the scooter. Lose one, and the rear end starts clunking. Ignore it long enough, and you can damage the linkage bushings or the frame mount itself.

The problem is that these are not standard hardware store bolts. They are three different lengths of M8 hex-head fasteners, each sitting in a specific location in the rear suspension assembly. If you grab the wrong length during a repair, the bolt either bottoms out without clamping or threads in too shallow and backs out under vibration. Either way, you're back to a loose rear end.

This guide covers the exact sizes, their locations, and the SKUs so you can order the right parts the first time. Whether your scooter is an E Ride Pro SS 2.0 or the SS 3.0, these specs apply to both.

The Three Rear Suspension Linkage Bolts: Sizes and Locations

All three bolts are M8 thread diameter. The difference is length, and that length determines exactly where each one goes in the suspension linkage stack.

SKU Size Location Identifier
E7370 M8 x 55mm Upper linkage mount (frame-side pivot) Shortest of the three
E7371 M8 x 57mm Lower shock absorber mount Red anodized nut, easy to spot
E7372 M8 x 62mm Lower linkage connection point Longest of the three

The most visually distinctive bolt is E7371. It uses a red anodized nut at the lower shock mount. If you are ever unsure which bolt goes where during reassembly, that red nut is your anchor point. Everything else positions off of it.

Does This Apply to the SS 2.0 and SS 3.0?

Yes. The rear suspension linkage geometry is shared between the E Ride Pro SS 2.0 and the SS 3.0. The bolt specifications, thread pitch, diameter, and length for all three positions, are identical across both versions. You can order E7370, E7371, and E7372 with confidence regardless of which generation you are running.

What Comes in the Kit

VoroMotors sells these as a complete set: Rear Suspension Linkage Bolts for E Ride Pro SS at $13.95. The kit includes all three bolts along with the corresponding washers, both nylon and metal, for each position. You do not need to source washers separately.

If you are only replacing one bolt because of loss or damage, reference the individual SKUs above. If you are doing a full suspension service, the kit makes more sense since you are already in there.

Installation Notes

A few things worth knowing before you go in:

These linkage bolts thread through aluminum linkage arms and into steel or aluminum pivots depending on the exact position. Do not over-torque. M8 bolts in aluminum linkage are typically torqued to 20-25 Nm. Going beyond that risks stripping the threads in the linkage arm, which turns a $13.95 repair into a full linkage replacement.

Apply a small amount of blue threadlocker (Loctite 243 or equivalent) to the threads before installation. The rear suspension sees constant vibration, and plain bolts will work loose over time without it. This is almost certainly why the factory uses it on the red-nut lower shock bolt. The color-coded nut is a signal that this is a torque-sensitive fastener.

Inspect the bushings while you have the linkage apart. If the rubber or polyurethane bushings show cracking or the metal sleeves have any lateral play, replace them at the same time. A fresh set of bolts on worn bushings will not give you back the tight suspension feel you are after.

How to Order

Search the VoroMotors parts store for SKU E7370, E7371, or E7372 individually, or look for the "Rear Suspension Linkage Bolts for E Ride Pro SS" kit to get the full set with washers. Parts availability varies, so if the kit shows out of stock, individual bolt SKUs are the backup option.
