The new EMOVE RoadRunner V3 comes with a beautiful new full-color display, and it is a real step up from the older screen. It is brighter, cleaner, and easier to read at a glance, and it puts a full set of rider settings right at your fingertips. This guide walks you through everything on the new display: how to get into the settings, what every P setting and advanced setting does, and what each error code means if one ever pops up. Bookmark this one, it is the reference you will come back to.

How to open the settings
Getting in
To open the settings menu on the new display, press the M button twice. From there you can scroll through the basic P settings below. The advanced settings are behind a password, and we will cover those separately.
The basic P settings
These are the everyday settings most riders will touch. Press the M button twice to enter, then adjust to taste. The default value is what your RoadRunner V3 ships with from the factory.
| Setting | What it does | Range | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1 | LCD brightness | 1 to 5 | 5 |
| P2 | Auto shutdown timer (minutes of inactivity before the display powers off) | 1 to 10 mins | 5 |
| P3 | Units, kilometers or miles | 0 for KMH, 1 for MPH | 1 |
| P4 | Gear setting (number of speed modes) | 3, 5, or 9 | 3 |

The advanced settings
Read this before you touch the advanced menu
The advanced settings control performance-critical values like voltage, wheel size, speed limit, and current. Wrong values can make your RoadRunner unsafe, can affect how it is allowed to be ridden in your area, and may affect your warranty. Several lines are marked do not adjust or not in use, and they should be left exactly as they are. If you are not completely sure what a value should be, do not change it. Contact us first and we will guide you.
To reach the advanced settings, you enter A0 and use the password 6969. The table below lists what each line is and its factory default, so you can check your display against it. Change only what you fully understand.
| Setting | What it is | Range / note | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| A0 | Enter advanced settings | Password 6969 | - |
| A1 | Voltage | 48 | |
| A2 | Wheel diameter | 6 to 24 | 14.5 |
| A3 | Overall speed limit | 128 | |
| A4 | Current limiter | Always at 20 | 20 |
| A5 | Motor magnet | 15 | |
| A6 | Not in use | Do not adjust | - |
| A7 | Acceleration mode | 5 | |
| A8 | Kick start | 0 or 1 | 1 |
| A9 | Not in use | Ignore | Do not adjust |
| A10 | Not in use | Do not adjust | |
| A11 | Not in use | Do not adjust | |
| FAc | Factory reset (restores the display to default settings) | - |
Error codes
If something is wrong, the new display will show an error code instead of leaving you guessing. Here is what each one means and a first thing to check. If a code keeps coming back, stop riding and reach out to us.
| Code | What it means | First thing to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Motor phase error | Check the motor phase cable connection at the controller, then contact us if it stays. |
| 2 | Motor hall sensor error | Check the motor sensor connector is seated fully, then contact us if it stays. |
| 4 | Throttle error | Check the throttle connector, and make sure the throttle is not stuck. Contact us if it stays. |
| 5 | Low voltage protection | Your battery is low. Charge it fully, then power back on. |
| 6 | Controller fault | Power the scooter fully off and on. If the code stays, contact us. |
| 8 | Controller over temperature protection | Let the scooter rest and cool down before riding again. |
| 30 | Communication error | Check the cable between the display and the controller is connected. Contact us if it stays. |
