Down to the last bolt.
Two motors, and a switch between them.
A 350W front and a 500W rear, peaking at 720W and 960W, with single and dual modes on the display. Run it single for range on a flat commute, switch to dual when the road tips upwards or you want the acceleration. It is the same trick a car makes of four-wheel drive, and it is the reason the range figure and the hill figure do not have to fight each other.
Manitou ABS+, eight settings, one knob.
The front dampers are Manitou Absolute+ units with eight positions you set by hand — soften them for broken tarmac, firm them up when you want the front end to stay composed. Twin encapsulated spring shocks sit alongside them, and the 14 in tires take the rest. You can change it mid-ride, which matters more than it sounds when the surface changes halfway.
Memory foam, and no springs.
Long, thick, and made of memory foam with nothing bouncing underneath it. Springs feel forgiving for the first mile and vague for the next twenty; this one holds you where you sit, which is what makes a long commute pleasant rather than something you endure. It is thicker than the original RoadRunner because riders asked for exactly that.
Tuck or cruise.
Using the multi purpose tool kit that comes with your RoadRunner, you can quickly and easily change the handlebar height.
14 inch, and tubeless on purpose.
Fourteen-inch tubeless tires, fitted specifically to settle the speed wobble that larger seated scooters can develop near the top of their range. Tubeless also means a puncture is far less likely to end the ride, and the contact patch is wide enough that dirt and gravel are not off limits.
280 lumens, signals, brake light.
One of the brightest stock headlights fitted to a seated scooter, plus rear turn signals and a brake light mounted under the seat. Extended front and carbon-fibre rear fenders keep the spray off you and off the bike. None of it is exciting, and all of it is the reason drivers see you.
In the metal.
EMOVE RoadRunner V2.
The numbers.
Full technical specification.
Performance figures were adjusted downwards in 2025: we calculate them for a rider of 200 lbs rather than repeating the manufacturer's best case, so some of our numbers read lower than the ones printed on the box. The maximum load was adjusted the same way — it does not mean the scooter cannot carry you, only that stated performance may vary. Range depends on terrain, rider weight, tire pressure and temperature.
SE, V2, or the Pro.
Figures are the ones each scooter publishes on its own product page. The V2 is the middle of the family and the one most people should buy: enough speed and range for a real commute, a pack you can swap, and a weight you can still lift into a car. The SE is the light, affordable entry point; the Pro is a different kind of machine altogether, and weighs more than twice as much.
What riders say.
Before you buy.
The things riders asked for. A more responsive thumb throttle, a softer and thicker seat, tubeless tires that reduce speed wobble, extended front and carbon-fibre rear fenders, longer foot pegs, a brighter headlight and rear turn signals. The bones are the same; the daily experience is better.
With a second battery. The pack is key-locked and lifts out in under ten seconds, so you carry a charged spare — in the centre pizza bag, for instance — and swap when the first one runs low. Fifty miles is one pack; a hundred is two.
Single for flat commuting, where it stretches the range. Dual when you want acceleration or when the road climbs. Switching is a button press on the display, so most riders end up using both on the same ride.
That is what the seat is for. Long, thick memory foam with no springs underneath means you sit supported rather than bouncing, and the adjustable Manitou front suspension takes the sting out of broken tarmac. The seated position does the rest.
Yes, within reason. The dual motors and the 14 in tires cope with dirt tracks and rough surfaces perfectly well. It is not a dirt bike and it will not thank you for jumps, but a gravel path or a rutted trail is fair game.
The bars fold and the whole scooter is 50 by 25 by 38 inches unfolded at 55 lbs, so it goes into an SUV or a van comfortably. Pulling the battery takes a few pounds off before you lift it.
It carries up to 330 lbs, which is our own adjusted figure rather than the factory's. Heavier riders should expect somewhat less speed and range than the headline numbers.
Deliberately simple. Check tire pressure, keep the brakes adjusted, charge the pack sensibly. Bar height changes in a minute with the tool kit in the box, and the common parts are stocked in the US.
