On the other end, try not to let the battery routinely run down below 20%, repeated deep discharges wear on lithium cells faster than partial-cycle charging does.
Temperature Matters More Than People Expect
Charge and store the battery at normal room temperature when you can. Charging in direct sun or in a hot garage accelerates cell aging, and charging in very cold conditions increases internal resistance and can affect how well the pack accepts a charge. If you ride in genuinely cold or hot climates, bring the battery inside to charge rather than leaving it on the bike in the elements.
Storing the Bike for More Than a Few Weeks
