If you own an Arctic Leopard XE PRO R equipped with an ANT BMS and 74V60Ah battery pack, this post is for you. Read it in full.
Arctic Leopard has issued an official announcement covering two separate issues affecting first-batch XE PRO R models: a BMS parameter miscalibration that's limiting your real-world range, and a dashboard software bug that can immobilize the vehicle. Both are fully fixable. Both are being handled at no cost to you.
Here's the breakdown — no corporate spin, just the facts.
Issue #1: Your Battery Isn't Hitting Its Rated Capacity
Some delivered XE PRO R units left the factory with BMS parameter configurations that don't match factory calibration standards.
What that means in plain English: your battery's charging logic is running on the wrong settings. The BMS was cutting off the charge cycle too early — before cells could fully equalize and reach maximum capacity. The core cells are fine. The protection functions are working. But mismatched charging parameters mean the vehicle was never delivering its full rated range.
The root cause? Three process gaps at the factory level:
- Wrong parameter configuration files loaded during BMS firmware flashing on certain units
- Insufficient BMS parameter verification during battery pack assembly
- Incomplete inspection of core charging parameters during final vehicle testing
The key technical fix is straightforward: the official maximum single-cell charging voltage needs to be unified to 4.35V across all affected vehicles. Previously, some units were set to 4.2V — and that lower threshold is the core reason you're seeing insufficient range. The pack's total voltage target is also being recalibrated from the previous 103.2V standard.
Who this affects: Even if your bike appears to charge normally, internal parameters may still be non-compliant. The BMS calibration is mandatory for all affected units — not just ones showing obvious symptoms.
Issue #2: Dashboard Software Bug (Pro R Models — First Batch)
Separately, the first-batch Arctic Leopard Pro R models shipped with a dashboard software adaptation issue. This one is purely software — it doesn't touch core hardware or affect riding performance.
The two specific malfunctions:
Inability to normally modify or reset the dashboard power-on password
After modifying or disabling the power-on password, the vehicle fails to automatically release the P parking lock — leaving the bike immobilized
The fix: Arctic Leopard is replacing dashboards, not patching them. If you own a first-batch Pro R, you're eligible for a free replacement dashboard unit installed by a professional technician at any authorized Arctic Leopard dealer. The old unit gets collected and disposed of by the dealer — don't discard it yourself.
How to Get This Fixed
For the BMS calibration, Arctic Leopard's after-sales engineering team is handling this remotely. They'll guide you through installing the official ANT BMS V2 debugging software and remotely inspect and recalibrate your battery parameters.

Why We're Sharing This
At VoroMotors, we carry Arctic Leopard because we believe in the product. That also means when Arctic Leopard issues an official notice, we put it in front of you directly — no filtering, no downplaying.
This is exactly what after-sales support is supposed to look like: a manufacturer identifying a problem, tracing it back to its root cause, and fixing it at no cost to the customer. Arctic Leopard assembled a cross-department task force spanning engineering, battery R&D, quality control, production, and after-sales to investigate. They found the gaps. They fixed the production process going forward. And they're remediating every affected unit.
That transparency matters. And it's consistent with why we vet every brand we carry — not just on specs, but on how they respond when things go wrong.
What Arctic Leopard Is Changing Going Forward
For future production, Arctic Leopard has implemented the following process improvements:
- 100% full BMS core charging parameter review for every finished vehicle before shipment
- Dual verification: secondary manual check + automatic machine validation on all battery parameter flashing operations
- Dual-equipment cross-check mode for core charging parameter calibration
Charger compatibility matching tests pre-shipment - Fully traceable quality control archives covering the complete battery production lifecycle per vehicle
These aren't promises — they're documented process changes. We'll hold them to it.
