Katapult lease-to-own
Katapult estimates as low as with a lease.
A lease can work when a loan doesn't. You apply with Katapult at checkout: choose Katapult as your payment method and it shows you what you're approved for there.
A lease usually costs more in total than paying up front, so read Katapult's terms before you sign.
Progressive Leasing
Progressive Leasing, another lease-to-own option, is on its way. Until it's here, our team can go through other ways to pay with you.

Down to the last bolt.
2,000 watts rated, 6,000 at max.
This is where the Mini R stops being a mini bike in the dismissive sense. Two kilowatts continuous and six at peak, on a 72V bus through an FOC sinewave controller β enough to carry a 255 lb rider and enough to climb a 45-degree slope. Nought to fifteen takes 1.8 seconds, and the smooth delivery is what keeps that manageable rather than alarming.
Mini R, or Mini R17.
The Mini R runs a 14-inch front and a 12-inch rear with a 28.9-inch seat β right for younger or shorter riders. The Mini R17 steps up to a 17-inch front and 14-inch rear with a 30-inch seat, giving more ground clearance and more stability for a taller teen or an adult. Same frame, same power, same everything else.
A leash, sensors, and a ceiling.
A magnetic kill switch on a leash β pull it and the power goes, immediately. Brake sensors that cut power the instant a lever moves, so the bike never fights the brakes. And an app-set speed cap that lets you decide the ceiling. Three simple things, and together they are what make this reasonable to hand to a younger rider.
Aluminium, with real suspension.
A 6061-class aluminium frame with suspension at both ends: light enough that a kid can pick it up after a spill, tough enough that they can keep having them. The weight matters more than any other number here β at 110 lbs it does what a rider tells it rather than the other way round.
Modular, by design.
The battery, the wheels and the brakes all come off as units, which means a repair is a part swap rather than a workshop visit, and an upgrade is a bolt-on. On a bike that is going to be crashed while somebody learns on it, that is worth more than any spec on the list.
Mini R, or Mini R17.
A 14-inch front and a 12-inch rear wheel, a 28.9-inch seat, and 62.2 x 26.4 x 37.8 inches overall. The smaller setup, and the right one for younger or shorter riders who need to get both feet down.
A 17-inch front and a 14-inch rear wheel, a 30-inch seat, and 64.6 x 26.4 x 38.9 inches overall. More ground clearance and more stability at speed, for a taller teen or an adult who wants the small bike without the cramped riding position.
In the metal.

The numbers.
Mantis Mini R and Mini R17.
*Our published top speed is the governed, road-appropriate figure. This is an off-road machine and it is capable of considerably more unrestricted β ride it on private land, trails or a closed course where you have permission, and wear proper protective gear. It is not street legal; treat it as trails, tracks and dirt parks only.
Performance figures were adjusted downwards in 2026: we calculate them for a rider of 200 lbs rather than repeating the manufacturer's best case. The maximum load was adjusted the same way β it does not mean the bike cannot carry you, only that stated performance may vary.
What riders say.
Before you buy.
Wheel size and seat height. The Mini R runs 14 in front and 12 in rear with a 28.9-inch seat, which suits younger or shorter riders who want both feet down. The Mini R17 runs 17 in and 14 in with a 30-inch seat, giving more ground clearance and more stability β better for a taller teen or an adult. Everything else is the same.
Yes. It is sized for youth but 6,000W of peak power is not a youth figure, and it carries riders up to 255 lbs. The Mini R17 is the one to pick if you are a full-size adult.
It is one of the better first bikes precisely because you can limit it. Three ride modes plus an app-set speed cap mean you can start it somewhere gentle and raise the ceiling as confidence builds, without changing a part on the bike.
No. This one is strictly off-road β trails, tracks, dirt parks and private land. Do not plan on registering it.
Yes. The battery is water-sealed and the drivetrain is IP66 rated, so rain, puddles and muddy trails are ordinary conditions rather than a risk.
Up to 31 miles in Eco mode. Ride it in Race and expect meaningfully less β that is true of every bike here, and Eco exists for exactly this reason.
Easy, deliberately. The design is modular: the battery, the wheels and the brakes come off as units, so a repair is a part swap rather than a workshop job and an upgrade is a bolt-on. Parts are stocked in the US.
As safe as you set it up to be. Cap the top speed in the app, use Eco, clip the magnetic kill switch leash on, and insist on a full-face helmet and proper protective gear. The brake sensors cut power the moment a lever moves, which removes one classic beginner mistake.
