Wrong Motor, Not the Plug and Play

I was sent the wrong motor because the original was not in stock. I was asked to rewrite my scooter to retrofit the new motor.

I just saw your review and wanted to personally take a moment to clarify why the plug-and-play version should not be restocked.

The short version: the older plug-and-play cable was found to cause overheating issues, which is why we made a full transition to the wired version back in May 2025. The wired setup isn’t a downgrade — it’s the upgraded design that prevents heat buildup and improves long-term reliability.

It’s possible that when you spoke with our support rep, they only mentioned that the plug-and-play was “out of stock,” without explaining the technical reason behind it. That’s on us — sometimes our frontline team doesn’t have the full engineering context. But please know that this change was made to protect riders and their bikes, not to cut corners.

I’d appreciate it if you could take a look at the article when you get a chance. I also noticed there’s a chargeback open for this order — I really want to help you get this resolved smoothly, but that process makes it harder for our team to act quickly on your case.
