So ive had my Inmotion RS Midnight scooter for 3 months now and have put about 120 miles on it, ive been enjoying this scooter alot and just recently took it our for a range test in eco mode which is now Gear 1 and i cant believe that it gave me 60 miles of riding range from 100% battery life down to 10% battery life. The scooter never slowed down from its eco mode speed either
My current weight is 287 lbs, so im definitely a (heavy rider) My test was done in Eco mode which has the scooter speed at 19 miles per hour. I made a video about it on my youtube channel called the average guy1983. I cant believe it took me almost 4 hours split into two days just to complete this range test because of how massive the battery is for range. This scooter is definitely great for what it is however i do have to knock a star down and thats because it has a couple of small issues but are not a deal breaker for me.
1. Gear 1 does 19 miles per hour not 20mph
Gear 2 does 38 miles per hour not 40mph
Gear 3 does 48 miles per hour not 52Mph and finally
Gear 4 is supposed to go upto 63 but ive only been able to achieve 57Mph which to be fair its way too fast for me however im positive that if i have a long enough strip to take it for a longer ride i couple achieve the 63Mph that its rated to do.
The second issue is the Steering Dampener, it makes no real difference if you have it tighten all the way, the steering still feels loose which causes speed wobbles at Gear 3 and Gear 4 speeds but does fine in Gear 2 which is my preferred speed anyways so its cool.
The third issue is the Inmotion App. It only does momentary connections with the scooter via Bluetooth and gives you information for that brief connection moment but does NOT give you live information like segway does with their app it also crashes alot and doesnt always want to connect via Bluetooth to the RS so it takes multiple tries till you get to establish a proper connection.
Last, is the smart charger. It wont charge the scooter unless its at 80% battery life. Only then will the charger detect a lower voltage and actually power itself on so that it can start to charge the battery of the Inmotion RS scooter.
Other than that, i really like this scooter and dont regret buying it.
I will recommend you get PMT Stradile tires also sold here at VoroMotors if you like to make sharp turns at higher speeds or just want to have a better stability, otherwise you can definitely slip and fall the way i did with the stock CST tires as they arent made to be making sharp turns at higher speeds, Thankfully i had full safety gear on including a full face helmet which saved me from having serious injury.
Anyways, if your a BIG guy looking for a scooter that can give you the most range at a reasonable price per performance then look no further because the Inmotion RS Midnight is the way to go with its adjustable deck height and adjustable handlebar height. Its the perfect scooter.
