I've had mine for a little over 11 months with 400 miles on it and it's been a great machine with only minor issues. If you are on the fence but are hesitant to buy it, just buy it. You are missing out because it is so much fun.
Despite this scooter being marketed as a very fast sport scooter mainly for fun, it is also very practical and if you wanted to use this as a commuter scooter, this thing checks all of those boxes as you will see. This is the list of the good things that it has going for it:
-Good ride quality.
-Good weather resistance. I've rode mine in flooded street conditions with heavy rain downpours, with a small amount of mud, but the scooter was perfectly fine. It can certainly go in the rain without any issues.
-Plenty of mounting points for custom cargo setups.
-Very good headlights.
-Auto or manual cruise control.
-Visible blinkers.
-It's heavy, which might sound like a bad thing, but it's actually a good thing. It's 115 lbs of weight helps it with traction and stability, especially in those flooded rainstorm conditions that I have mentioned earlier. The weight helps push the water out of the tires and gives you great grip in wet conditions. The weight and fork angle also prevents the scooter from feeling twitchy. It's an extremely capable scooter that is capable of going to places and getting into situations that are outside of the comfort zone of most people. The limit is you, not the scooter. Now THAT is confidence inspiring!
-A large deck.
-Nice wide bars.
-Stability at high speeds.
-Tall 11" tires that can roll over fairly large objects without feeling like you are going to go over the bars. The off-road and street tire options both have a belt of gel inside that will continue holding pressure after small sharp punctures. I've ran over Goathead thorns (if you know, you know) and my tires still don't leak even after 400 miles (original tires). Great if you are on a long ride or commute. I wish my mountain bike could do that.
-Great mileage due to the large battery.
-Selectable 2WD.
-It is stupid fast for a scooter and can keep up with street traffic without an issue, even up hills. The acceleration is plenty quick for street traffic too. You could get away with mode 3 on the street since this thing is so overkill.
-Very tall ground clearance. I believe 8 inches of ground clearance but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, it's tall so it's breakover angle will allow you ride over sharp edges without the frame scraping.
-Amazing display that is visible even on the brightest days. With it you can see your speed, ESC temperatures, trip mileage, total mileage, and anything else that you would ever want to know.
-Power settings that cover all use cases. While you do have mode 5 which has enough torque to rips your arms off separately with the scooter off into the sunset and can do wheelies if you have the skill, you also have mode 1 on the other end of the spectrum, which is so mellow that it doesn't even feel like the same scooter. It can be a gentle giant for beginners or just pleasant for cruising which is great.
-You can dive deeper into the settings to really customize things such at front and rear motor amperage, acceleration strength/throttle sensitivity, ABS, and regenerative braking strength. All of those settings can be configured for each individual mode (aside from Eco Mode) which is incredible if you want to make custom riding modes for 1 through 5 that you can tune perfectly for your needs.
-Bonus points for how cool it looks, especially at night with the deck lights. Aesthetics do matter because you are the one who has to be seen riding your scooter, and you should enjoy the way your scooter looks. The lighting on this thing is really well done and nothing to me on this scooter looks tacky. As you have probably already seen, many other scooters on the market look so cheesy and bad. Not this scooter, it's looks great!
I'm giving this scooter 4 stars because there are a few minor things that could be improved. Here are those things:
-The smoked taillight is pretty dim, even at night. Luckily the rest of the scooter lights up a lot to provide sufficient visibility at night to make yourself seen.
-The rear brake for me started leaking mineral oil at around 300 miles, which is an uncommon problem, but just something to note. I will be switching to Magura brakes via custom mounts made by eScootNow in Australia, since I'm tired of the stock Zoom brakes.
-Your front forks may come with no fork oil in them. Check before you start riding. If they don't have any oil, it's easy and cheap enough to buy a fork oil of your choice to make them feel how you want them to.
-When the ESCs are cold, I've noticed that the motors will occasionally jolt for a fraction of a second regardless of what mode you are in until the ESCs are warmed up. This could be terrifying for a beginner.
All in all, this scooter is great and I hi...
