I like the looks of the GTR. Yes, it is a big heavy scooter. It's not practical for moving up and down stairs or in and out of a truck. I like the features on the scooter, like traction control, bright lights, and removable battery. It is incredibly fast and smooth. Range seemed to be decent if you could stay away from 45mph runs. Things I dislike include a strange jerking motion. Forward and back with scooter turned on, and you come out of park. Also, after sitting overnight and trying to ride the next day. Scooter would not turn on. Took it back Voromotors. They "woke" up the battery. It was fine til I got it home. Tried to turn it on again. Same thing. Would not turn on. Took it back a second time. The service manager said there was nothing he could do and awaiting a fix or solution from the manufacturer in China. So, I returned.
long story short the people at Voro Motors are great. Not sure whats to happen next but I want a return after what I went through (darn GTR chargers). Initially shipping was held up due to battery charger issues. Weeks go by and it finally arrived (yay) Come to find out not only was the charger not complete (no cord to go from the brink to the wall) but it was the incorrect Kaabo charger. Was told today from support that the correct updated charger would be 3-5 weeks wait and to use a needle nose pliers for the battery removal issue I'm having. Not gonna do that on a new $4000 scooter. Do that and risk breaking the lock mechanism?? Assuming the scooter has been sitting for over 7 days I cannot even turn on the scooter to familiarize myself with the settings (battery went to deep sleep need charger to wake it). no charger, no fun, no go. I don't even mind the gashes and scrapes on the right side of the handle bar almost like it was previously used but I don't really know so. (I wish it was just a few scratches and that's it but bad luck for me. Many others will get to enjoy there GTR just not me and that's life. Frustrated and kind of over it at this point.
first off it's just my luck and most people here i'm sure have had amazing experiences however outside of the good chat function with voro, my overall experience has been one of the worst.
I ordered the GTR when I thought the new chargers were ready to ship. WRONG! stated that GTR and chargers were ready to ship I ended up waiting weeks before I received my GTR on the website. Misleading a little bit but because they still weren't ready scooter was held up.
received the GTR today a brick charger (good) no cord to connect to it and the wall. (can't even turn on the GTR it's dead af....no issues but I can't charge it)
I placed the pin in the hole (the thingy with the chain) to secure it but now it's stuck no matter what I do it will not come out. flipped the lever and lowered the double stem bar trying to remove it. (it's probably user error. someone would show up I'm sure do a thing and it would release i bet)
battery won't release so i can't take it off the scooter. Again, user error likely but wow i'm just striking out here. i don't even care about the scrapes and gashes on the handle bar (I'll use a black sharpie pen) THEN lol this is good....jump on the site to chat to get help and what do I know and see? a black friday promo code for new purchases $300 off GTR AFTER i just bought it weeks ago. Don't let this review deter your experience it's just my experience but it hasn't been a smooth one. I'm sure the people at Voro are great just happened that my experience hasn't gone well. I wish nothing but the best for the company and team. I wish I could have a re-do.
Im 32 years old with mild autism and electric scooters help me with my autism. Electric scooters help with my hand and eye cordination and mental part too.
Overall it's a big, heavy scooter. It is super fast. It takes time to get use too. Also I haven't turned on the abs yet but the breaks are super sensitive. The suspension takes some adjusting. Also the battery chargers get super hot.
Also I can't get the battery to lift out or the lock to turn with the factory default code.
It's a cool scooter but lots of things here creating a learning experience. I also never got a email to purchase an extended warranty and have reached our to Voro Motors about this 3 separate times with no help or follow through in the end.
