Detailed Description
The highly anticipated successor to one of the best electric scooters in the world is finally here. The Dualtron Thunder 2 high performance electric scooter is like a Pro version of the original, stacked with updated features. It’s got an enormous 72V 40 Ah LG battery for up to 72 miles of insane range. The dual 2700W hub motors (5400 W nominal, 10800 W peak) offer a blazing 60 mph top speed. The 45-step variable rubber suspension system allows you to adjust arm length, motor shaft distance, and swap cartridge hardness for a truly customizable ride. With a grippy rubber deck and footrest with built-in brake light, this is a resounding evolution of the Thunder, and you’ll definitely hear it coming.
- Dualtron Thunder 2 updates include a stronger stem clamp, 4th generation frame, new multiswitch, turn signals, horn, footrest that doubles as a handle, and rubber deck

Double The Power
With dual hub motors delivering up to 10800 W of peak power, the Thunder 2 has a 60 mph top speed. Compared to the original Thunder with max power of 5400W, that’s double the motor power and over 10 mph faster. Want even more? Double-click the throttle for a 1280W boost. With a built-in heatsink to keep the motor controllers cool, you can hit high speeds, and stay there, without burning out the motors.
Best Long Range Scooter
The massive LG battery in the Thunder 2 electric scooter gives you 2800 watt hours or 27% more capacity than its predecessor. In a real-world range test by ESG, the Thunder 2 delivered a 60-mile range: the longest tested range of all our electric scooters. The Thunder 2 can go up to 71 miles non-stop when riding conservatively, but why would you do that?

Keep Rollin' Wheels
The Thunder 2 has bonded sealant in the 11” x 3.5” tubeless tires, making them highly durable and flat resistant. With solid rims that are separate from the motor, it’s easier to remove and repair the tires without fussing with motor cables. The Nutt hydraulic brakes with 160 mm rotors are powerful and easy to operate. With adjustable rubber suspension, you’ll feel supported when you come down off a jump or hit a rut.

Programmable LEDs
With deck-mounted headlights, hazard lights, and a brake-responding taillight, you’d think that’d be enough. That’s not how Dualtrons roll. The Thunder 2 also has programmable LED lights in the stem, neck, swingarms, and along either side of the deck. They’re super swaggy, ultra bright, and signature to all Dualtron electric scooters.

High Quality Handlebars
Upgrades from the Thunder to the Thunder 2 include a premium cockpit. The Thunder 2 has an updated button console for enabling your lights, turn signals, eco/turbo modes, and the horn. The classic EYE LCD display and trigger throttle are paired with spring-loaded folding handlebars and cleanly wrapped cabling. The Thunder 2’s cockpit is designed for comfort and convenience, and looks good, too.

Formidable Frame
With a frame forged from aviation aluminum and a stem made of SCM440 steel, the Thunder 2 has seriously robust construction. These materials are resistant to corrosion and UV damage, while also being strong and lightweight. If you’ve heard about the Dualtron stem creak, it’s true. Tightening the stem hinge bolt and adding a spray of WD-40 will eliminate that annoying sound. Check out our demo on this quick fix.

Decked Out
The Thunder 2 has a huge rubber-covered deck and footrest with cutout, so you can more easily carry the scooter when folded. The deck’s dimensions are 24.5” long by 12.5” wide, giving you tons of space to find your footing. With 7.6” of ample deck clearance, you won’t scrape the deck when hitting jumps or rolling off curbs. When folded, the stem hooks to the deck, making it easier to maneuver.

Hello there my name is Jose I purchased a scooter a few months ago I also bought an attachment with a seat However the seat is not compatible in what I know I'm trying to put it together and it seems like the leg rest is hitting where it's supposed to lock....I went on YouTube and another person say that it's not compatible that they call the company and they sold them a different attachment to it when I called the office they said I'm doing it wrong But I'm trying over and over and it seems that I cannot get it to lock in place I purchased the Thunder 2... please reply back to make sure that it is compatible
I’ve always loved Minimotor’s and their build quality since I started riding scooters a few years ago! After today’s purchase I now am proud to say I own 2 awesome Dualtron’s…..an Ultra 2 and now a new Thunder 2. On top of the exceptional build quality comes an exceptional ride. If I had to put Minimotor’s scooters in a category of how they perform, a good analogy would be they mimic a BMW’s ride, which is known for their extreme sporty feel and tough hard suspension making you feel as though you are always hugged to the ground. It isn’t the smoothest ride, but it’s still definitely a great ride pending what you’re looking for in a scooter. Bar none you can’t go wrong with any Minimotor’s scooter from their very impressive long list of scoots in their lineup. They are the crème de la crème of companies dating all the way back to 1999! I’ve got a Kaabo Wolf Warrior GT, a Rion and some lower quality Chinese built scooters along with a SurRon….but at the end of the day I have to say I still choose one of my Dualtron’s for about 75% of my rides, as I know I can count on them through any terrain and range that I might encounter.
I can't wait to receive my new Q1S scooter I just ordered. Bowen at the LA location was awesome, glad he helped me out with my order. I'm for sure ordering more from him and trying to get all my friends from work to get the Q1S so we can start having a little more fun during lunch breaks!
